Happy Friday after Thanksgiving! I hope everyone had a great holiday and ready to start listening to some new music.
Check out this week's playlist with Rican Da Menace on the cover and first up with "I Admit It". Once I heard this song for the first time I was addicted, I literally can't stop replaying this track! The beat is infectious from the first few seconds and Rican goes off with both her lyrics and delivery:
"If I see you again Ima tell you what's up and then block you, Bitch bye, I don't argue with bitches that brag about Mexico, Bitch I'm in Dubai, Love to make that ugly face but I still keep it cute, Treat my man like Wizard Kelly Bitch you just gon see his suit"
Next up on the playlist is R&B queen Samaria with "Insanity" featuring Tone Smith. Samaria has just released a highly anticipated EP called "Didn't Start with You" and it's definitely a no skip project. I have a new favorite song on it every time I listen, and currently it's "Insanity" - the raw guitar beat and vocals with the flow is just so perfect. Tone comes in and gives his perspective on the situation so it's awesome to hear both sides to the story.
Switching things back to the female rap game with Lola Brooke's "Here I Come". The song is her latest offering to the fans, and came with a sexy music video where we see her on top of an ATV dressed in black. The lyrics are super catchy as well, trust me you're going to find yourself singing "Here I come UH OHHHHHH!" by the end of the song!
North Carolina artist Tia Corine is next up with "FreakyT" floating on the track. In the music video we see her giving 90's realness with her hair and outfit, rocking braces and also a huge Kirby diamond necklace! This song is featured on her latest project called "I Can't Wait" and in celebration of the project she now has some awesome plushies for sale until December 9th (or until supplies last)!
"Insensitive" by UK artist Tamera is one of those songs that just get you up and moving. The beat is west African inspired, as she is Nigerian and she sings so beautifully over the guitar and instrument sounds in the background. She sings about being in love:
"I will never let another man watch, or touch me, impossible, I know I get insensitive, I’ve been loving you insensitively."
Ukweli and Xenia Manasseh released a 5 song collaborative EP exploring the cycles of falling in love, and the highs and lows that come with it. One of my favorites is "Love Me Or Leave Me" where they sing about letting go of fear and just allowing yourself to give love another chance after being hurt in the past.
Enchanting has just dropped a project called No Luv and one of the stand out tracks on it is "Freaky Deaky" Ft. Coi Leray. I love the way these two collaborated on this song, it was meant for these ladies to link up for sure. Other stand out tracks on the project include "Against The Law" featuring KenTheMan and GucciMane, "IDL" featuring Big Scarr and many more hits.
Omeretta The Great is feeling like an Emotional Gangsta in her latest EP. The project is eight tracks long and only has two features, Key Glock and of course Tink on "Mr. Right". In this song we hear Tink on the background as Omeretta drops bars about finding that perfect man.
Dej Loaf can do no wrong in my eyes! "Remind You" is her latest drop and I think this means that a project or something bigger is coming. The song was produced by AC The Producer and Nabeyin.
