The seventeenth playlist has arrived! This week we have a few new projects that have dropped by our favorite women, and a few new singles to check out as well. Check out some more information about them below and let us know what you think.
Coi Leray Ft. Kiana Lede and Sevyn Streeter "I Like It" - Coi's long awaited project Now or Never has finally arrived!!! The first song on the project is our favorite, even though all the songs on the project are AMAZING, we promise! This song is definitely setting the tone for the whole EP, and featuring the super talented Kiana and Sevyn. Let us tell you JERSEY IS SO PROUD!!!
Ciara Ft. Ester Dean "Rooted" - Ciara has dropped a song that means SO much and she recorded this while being 10 months pregnant! She truly is an unstoppable force, and she's showing everyone that NOTHING is stopping the show. In the new song "Rooted," she sings "Young girl stay rooted/I done plant my seeds now I'm rooted/Brown skin poppin', I'm rooted/ATL bred, I'm rooted/Rooted, nappy head rooted!"
Kaash Paige "London" - Kaash Paige has released her debut album Teenage Fever, and this song "London" is one of the main singles on the project. The album has features from Don Toliver, K Camp, Isaiah Rashad, and more stars. In this song she sings about being at the hotel the London "What you know about a bad bitch in a Bentley truck?/3AM, once again and she pullin' up/I'm at the London with my bros and we pourin' up."
Rico Nasty "IPHONE" - Rico released this song along with a music video, and it's actually the first single off her upcoming album, Nightmare Vacation. The Dylan Brady produced song she speaks about the relationship us humans have with our phones.
Tiana Major9 "...Exclusively" - The British singer has released a new EP At Sixes And Sevens! In this track she sings about how she doesn't want to just keep talking to her signifacnt other, she's ready to be with this person EXCLUSIVELY. "We're both feeling the same/I want you exclusively/No messing around."
Toni Braxton "Dance" - In Braxton's new song "Dance" she speaks for all of us when she says she doesn't give a damn, she just wants to dance the love away! She is ready just as all of us are to get back into the club and show off our dance moves. Toni talks about how to cope with a break up, and the only way is to dance it off.
Jamila Woods "SULA (Paperback)" - Jamila got inspiration for this song from Toni Morrison's novel of the same name. In the song she sings about how she's not apologizing for cutting this person off, because they left her high and dry in the dirt. Although it hurts, she realizes what has to be done.
Alicia Keys Ft. Khalid "So Done" - This is the perfect "end" of summer song, and the two artists came together for both the single and brand new music video! The song "So Done" is featured on Keys' upcoming album, ALICIA.
Stunna Girl "Rotation (Game Mix)" - We are sending our congratulations to Stunna Girl for Madden NFL 2021 choosing her song for their soundtrack!! That's such an awesome accomplishment! Be sure to check out the entire soundtrack, it includes one of our other favorites, Danileigh.
